Boise Entrepreneur Week’s pitch competitions allow early-stage entrepreneurs to compete for a chance at winning $300,000 in prize money for two reasons: to advance entrepreneurship in the Boise community and help local businesses with funding and talent. BEW also provides an opportunity to be considered for a $100K equity placement by Connetic Ventures.

The Elevator Pitch Competition is a fun event and the most accessible pitch competition - open to the public. Participants will arrive with a simple, 2-3 minutes "elevator" pitch and pitch to as many of the dozens of judges spread throughout the room as possible in the allotted time. Participants receive scores from the judges and they are tallied up, with winners announced at the end and prizes awarded.

Presented by Boise State University’s Venture College and the Institute for Pervasive Cybersecurity, allows participants to form teams, choose a problem provided by industry partners, and propose a solution in the form of a new venture. Applications are due Oct. 6.
